In the face of adversity, individuals living with MS, and the networks of families and friends that support them, can achieve great things, realize great dreams, and work for a cure. On this page, we've added some quotes that give us hope, so we in turn can keep giving hope to others.
Prior to 2007, EJ had been a top fundraiser for the NYC-Southern NY Chapter of the National MS Society. After being diagnosed with MS in 2002, EJ started her own Walk MS Team and over the next 5 years she helped raise over half a million dollars for the Chapter.
At that time, EJ felt that she could do more to help people living with MS by creating a new not-for-profit organization, MS Hope for a Cure. EJ still works closely with the MS Society. She believes strongly that the Society has the best process for vetting potential research projects and therefore all of the money MS Hope raises for research is given through the Society and directed towards research projects that the Board feels have the most potential to improve the lives of people living with the progressive form of the disease.
